HIIT Workout: 5 ways you can use high intensity interval training to melt belly fat and build muscle mass fast.

A high intensity interval training workout is where you do an interval of maximum effort followed by an interval of recovery time.

So you would sprint for 1 minute followed by 4 minutes of jogging for example.

You can do this on the spin bike, the elliptical, the treadmill, or just running outside or around the track.

Then you would repeat this 3 or 4 times.

If you simply add a HIIT workout twice a week to what you already do, you will see results much faster... within a few weeks.

5 Ways To Build Muscle Mass Fast And Melt Belly Fat With Your HIIT Workout

  • About an hour before you workout you should eat around 150-200 calories of a some protein and some slow burning carbs. My favorite is a big spoonful of peanut butter and a granola bar. Or a banana blended up with some protein powder.

  • If you're lifting and doing HIIT on the same day, you should drink a mix of protein powder and gatorade type drink during your workouts. This will sustain your energy and minimize muscle fatigue.

  • Keep track of what you do: if you're on the spin bike, write down your stats at the end like how far you went, your average RPM,etc. Then try to beat your last workout every time.

  • By the end of your one minute max-effort interval, you should be sucking air and your throat should burn. If not, you weren't doing a max effort.

    This is important because when you're doing a legitimate max-effort, your body goes straight to your fat stores and that's when you begin to melt belly fat.

  • Mix up your workouts. Do it on the spin bike one day, then do it outside on the pavement, then do it on the airdyne bike or the elliptical.

    This goes for your other workout. Constantly mixing up your workouts will keep your muscles guessing and force your body to build muscle mass fast.
